rolllllllller rockkkkkkers

I've been going over my winter build up plans. They aren't as aggressive as some of those I've heard/read on this site but I could still use some advice.

My car is very low mileage so I have no intention of tearing it apart yet want to see some extra get up and go out of the 305. Here are some of the ideas. Your comments are welcome :

- I figured I could swap out the rockers for a set of 1.65 full rollers plus some lightweight push rods. The vendors claim way high HP gains (20+hp if you can stand it). I figure I'd be lucky to see 10-12 hp from this mod. ?!?

- Install a set of headers. I have the N10 dual cat option plus the 3 inch factory exhaust to factory muffler. I want to take advantage of the factory exhaust system with a set of headers. The factory manifolds are pretty restrictive, I figure I should see about 20hp from this mod. ?!?

- Finish my cold-air mods. Hp gains ? Who knows. Tell me how hot it is outside first ?

- Jacobs Energy Pak. Did this years ago on a TBI powered f-body. I was so impressed with it that I thought I would do it again. Makes alot of torque -- more than most people give them credit for. Did wonders for the gas mileage as well. Pretty expensive mod though.

- Under drive pulleys. Now is this something you want to do or one of those "will screw up your car after you put a few miles on it" kind of mods ? They claim 11rwhp on my car from a set (I have A/C). Truth ? Lies ?

- perf chip. Talked to Performance Resource guy who says I will see FOR SURE 30+hp and 20+lbs torque improvements (I didn't ask where in the rpm band these improvements would show up) with their chip and cal-pak. Seemed mighty expensive if you ask me then again if it really does the stuff then it would be worth it.

Well I've spent a few bucks eh ? Didn't even split a gasket doing it but could theoretically see a 35-50hp gain. Pretty tough to figure it out given all the claims out there.

thx for your replies,
RP.

yah, all those mods seem pretty accurate with there power gains, I think you could expect 20hp from the rollers.

I would save the money on the chip and the underdrive pulleys, together proly around 3-400 dollars? and pull the motor and put in a roller cam for that much....with a larger roller cam, you could get like 40-50 horse or so, maybe more.

I dont knwo what kind of induction you have, but swapping the intake is always a good idea, and its usally only a couple hundred bucks, unless its TPI
