Minnesota Enging Builder

Hi guys.
I trying a shot in the dark here.
I purchased a 89 GTA TransAm a few years ago from a kid in Fargo. He vanished after I paid and drove away.
I am trying to find out who built the motor. It is a 383 stroker with many aftermarket parts. However I have some questions if I can find the builder.
The only hint I have is a gold ( brass) tag glued on the engine block. I am sure this is how the builder keeps track of his builds.
Does anyone know a MN builder that uses these tags ???
Thanks
