Noticed the other day while my Camaro (1990 IROC, 350 TPI) was on a lift, that there is a connector on the left frame rail (as you're looking toward the front of the car) near to the fuel tank. It's about 1 1/2" in diameter & is connected to rubber hoses going into & out of it. When I looked in the plug there appears to be small holes around the inside of it, no pins so it's not an electrical connection. I think it may be some kind of emissions thing? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your fuel filter.

 

Thanks for the reply but it's not the fuel filter, I know what & where that is. Built a few old cars in my time. Not used to these newer ones with all the computer & emissions crap on.

 

Could it be the tank vent?
