Re: Hmmmm

Geeze, I'd build a LQ9 with square port heads with a T56 for half the price if it was up to me.

Re: Hmmmm

Okay, so build a SBC with this many ponies for half the cost. That STILL leaves you needing a SERIOUS tranny overhaul to handle the ponies. Sorry fellas, but you CAN'T build anything you want for half the price and it be anywhere near comparable. No SBC can be built with this much HP and have the kind of street manners and everyday driveability that this motor would provide out of the box with excellent mpg to boot. No SBC. Not to mention the 6sp tranny still mounted on it with all of it still wired up with the computer still attached. Also not to mention its a bone stock 6.2 LS3 making 430 HP that you can litterally sneeze on to gain lots of torque and extra ponies if, God forbid, you ever needed more HP lol
BUT, alas, ITS A HECK OF ALLOTA MONEY to sink into ANY thirdgen! Not to mention the fab work it may or may not take just to get it in the car....but damn sure would be FUN!..lol.. Wouldnt track day be fun to just nonchalantly drive your quiet thirdgen up to the track, take out all the new Camaros and Mustangs with EASE being 500# lighter, and then drive home all nice and quiet with your trophy?..LOL

Re: Hmmmm

DREAM OVER.
ITS TOO MUCH damn money!

Ive always enjoyed just driving them stock just as much. I havent tried to race one of these cars for nearly 30 years and would probably need a DEPENDS if I went that fast anyways

Re: Hmmmm

I actually bought my LS1 with tranny from this guy a while back. Very nice guy, and easy to work with. He had a perfect GTA in his garage. Can't remember the year though. Glad to see I got a better deal than this one appears to be though .
