Ok, so I am rebuilding an 88 350 to put in my 83 Camaro. I was thinking about making a 383 out of it. Basically what I want to know is, is it worth it? should I just keep it a 350? I know I'm going to need the machine shop to bore it out some before I can do anything. I want to make about 400 HP and keep it mostly a fun street car. I was thinking about the Brodix IK200 heads if I made it into a 383. this will be the first major engine rebuild I've ever done and that will probably make some of you tell me to just rebuild it. But I am confident in my ability to take my time and do it right if I do go the 383 route (with all the clearances i have to make sure are right). All input is appreciated thanks for looking.
