Car Hesitates while accelerating
I have a 91 Firebird, 3.1L. When I first go to start my car it takes a few times for it to actually start unless I use started fluid. Once I get it started it idles kind of rough for a few minutes then smooths out. Then when I go to accelerate from a dead stop it hesitates. I have to pretty much floor it to get it to go. I have talked to a few people at a dealership and at auto parts store and most of tell me its probably my fuel pressure regulator. Ive done some research and Ive learned that the regulator cant be serviced without switching out the whole fuel rail. I have also learned that the fuel rail is a discontinued part for my car. Does anyone have any know where to get an after market one? Or is there something else that I can do to fix my problem? Oh I have done a tune up, replaced the O2 sensor, IAC, MAP sensor, and the fuel filter.
