changing rears

I'm installing a 3.73 rear that I purchased used. There is nothing on the axle, so I plan on stripping my old one and switching drums, cables, brakelines, etc......
I'm thinking this shouldn't be too hard and I'd imagine its like a two day project..
Is there anything you guys can think of that I should do while I have the rear of my car completely off?
Its an 87 Iroc with 90k.
I think I'll buy new control arm and sway bushings.
Thanxs all!!!
