Anyone used a lokar cable?

I just order a Lokar cable that's supposed to work with a mr.gasket 6092 bracket. Vortec 350 with quadrajet. I've heard it may require some modifications to make it adapt to the stock pedal though.

Re: Anyone used a lokar cable?

I had to use the clip from the OEM cable and take the Lokar cable apart to incorporate the clip onto it.

Was it a simple swap? How exactly did you swap the ends?

Not difficult, I can't remember off the top of my head. I think I had to cut the oem cable to get the end off. The lokar cable comes apart by unscrewing the clamping end. I used a large washer to stabilize the cable at the firewall, and adjust to fit at the mounting bracket.

Thanks for the input. Luckily a friend who welds was able to make the cable work while I swapped some other parts.
