Re: are these wires bad?

Why do you think they're bad? They look dirty.

Disconnect and look into the plug. Are the pins melted or burnt on either side?

Re: are these wires bad?

Maybe 1 wire has some expanded insulation but for the most part, That's just dirt stuck to the factory grease on the non weatherpack plug.

Doesn't look bad to me, disconnect and check inside, check with a circuit tester. Your AC/heat fan not working?

thanks for the response! my fan works fine. i don't even know what this part is. i'm trying to solve a stall from stopped when driving/intermittent check engine light issue. i took it to Midas and they changed MAP sensor, knock sensor, idle air control. i previously changed the throttle position sensor and the idle air control. Midas changed the idle air control a second time because they said the wires had shorted out the other stuff? sometimes the car runs fine and sometimes it hesitates and jerrks sometimes with a stall with RPMs all over the place before surging and taking off once it kicks in. i was told when i bought it 2 yrs ago that it had a slight vacuum leak. Midas says no and they keep trying to upsell ie. induction service i paid $150 for and car still has the same issue. Now they are saying it is the catalytic converter. I asked them about the EGR valve and they said it was clean. Hard to believe on a 91. Can u point out the EGR valve on my engine, its a V6? Here is
