There's a vague question. I voted yes, because stock 3rd gens just aren't fast enough for me. But there are some things to consider. Where you live, emissions. What you want out of the car. Reliability and mpg. When you really start producing HP you start to hurt your mpg most of the time. And your reliability may suffer, and I said MAY, that's been my experience. Is this car your daily driver, something that you could do without while modding it. What are your expectations out of the car. Simple mods will produce some good gains with a 305 and especially a 350, depending on what you have. I would begin with headers, then cat-back, then do a cam swap, which a little more involved followed by head work. I strongly suggest the Hooker cat-back I have a sound clip in my signature, plus it is fairly cheap, I got the $200 one and had it welded on, plus it has a higher flow rate than flowmaster.. As far as headers, if you just want to lightly mod, Edelbrock headers would be a good choice, they are a LITTLE more restrictive than SLP, but are cheaper and will do just fine. I would suggest getting them coated if you live where there is snow especially. Gears would a good acceleration adder if you have the peg leg 2:73s and a matched TC would be good down the road assuming you have an auto. There are many more things I could list, but I'll let some real experts voice their opions, but good luck.
