Piston ring gap

Hi! i am moving the pistons, crankshaft, and the rest of the parts from the 4bolt 350block to a new dart shp block. the pistonrings are not used, but they are adjusted to the old engine block. the pistons are je blower. recommended gap from je is 0.0020" for the top ring and 0.0022" for the second.

currently the top ring have 0.0024" clearace and the 2.ring has 0.026"..
boost will be around 10 psi.

will it be a problem?

No, should be fine.

The purpose of the gap is, so that when the rings heat up and expand, their ends don't butt together which would make them then attempt to become larger dial than the cyl which would result in immediate destructive catastrophe and total meltdown. An extra .001" or 2 just gives you that much more of a safety margin in case that does happen.
