How good/bad seem my valves?

Hello guys
I removed one of my exhaust manifolds and I took a look in my exhaust ports
What do you think? Are they bad or good? What's that black stuff above?
It's an 89 lb9 block unknown mileage

Move along. Nothing to see here.

Pretty much, normal.

What really MATTERS, that sort of a photo doesn't show. Which is, the effectiveness of the seal where the valve meets the seat, and the degree of wear on the valve and the guide where the valve slides. Although, nothing in the photo shows any kind of disaster in that area; just age and miles.
