What is this part called

Yesterday my car started leaking oil from this part (it appears to be an oil sight glass) really badly, huge mess leading up to the house. I don't know what to call it, so finding a replacement part hasn't yielded any results. If I can't find the part I think i'll just put a bolt in its place because it doesn't seem necessary, but I would like to have the appropriate part. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is from a 1991 Camaro Z28, the L98 motor. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

That is where your oil pressure switch would go, it should control your fuel pump, IE, no oil pressure, no fuel supply after start up. if you call Advance auto or Autozone and ask for the oil pressure switch, not oil pressure sender, they should have it, atleast they had it for an 84 Corvette with crossfire....

Actually, on a 91 L98 it's a combination switch/pressure sender. Look for a wiring connector with 3 wires that should be hanging out in that area.

Yes, the switch is in there and I called O'Reilly Auto Parts already, they have the part and I will be picking it up shortly and fixing the car tonight I hope. I was looking to do an oil change anyways but had been slacking, I guess the car decided it was time, lol.

Well I finally got that part replaced and ops check good, and it fixed my issue of the oil pressure gage not working which I was hoping it would do but hadn't ever considered it. So I would like to point this out for other people. If the oil pressure gage on the dash isn't working then the oil pressure switch might be the problem for you.

...then how could he be driving the car? ....it's a SECONDARY power source. Obviously, as the OP can tell you, you can operate just fine without it. ...in the event you lose the relay, and the car is still running...it'll STAY running. It is NOT designed the other way around....IE...to cut power with a loss of pressure.
