Need help asap....or maybe I need a priest for this one

Alright I'll make a long story short, was leaving my friends house after picking up a few parts he was selling me and I could seem to get my car (1991 firebird 305 TBI) to stay running. It stalled once in his driveway and it was foot to the floor to get it 5 minutes down the road to my house. That weekend I looked it over and discovered one of my fuel injectors was not spraying. I replaced both fuel injectors with some re manufactured ones from summit. I replaced, the distributor cap, rotor, ICM, spark plugs, ignition wires, and also bought a TBI rebuild kit to go along with the injectors. I pulled the TBI off and completely rebuilt it with the new parts. Put everything back together and went to start it and it ran kinda rough for 5 minutes or so. Sounded like I had a loopy cam or something. It would stay at idle fine but then after those 5 minutes it died. Then anytime after that I couldn't get it to idle or stay running unless I was holding the gas. Also the car won't start unless you floor it while it's cranking and a couple times I had fire come up from the throttle body, I'm pretty sure that was from the excess gas laying around the engine bay from the TBI rebuild. I blew it all off with compressed air and it didn't happen again. I'm at a lose, no idea where to go from here, bout to push it into the woods somewhere and say my goodbyes. This is just after I dumped 1500 in new body parts, and a full exhaust system. I've got class on Monday and my only other car just blew the head gasket, so I'm in quiet the jam

have you changed the fuel filter?
was it low on gas and humid? the reason i ask is because i experienced similar problems on a TBI once. it turned out to be the humidity created water inside the tank. scratched my head for days and replaced parts like you did. eventually i put fresh gas in it and it cleared up in 2 minutes.

i'm not a priest, but i am a minister. i can perform last rights if you decide to put her down. lol. but dont give up yet. probably something simple.

I was about to replace the fuel filter but a friend of mine who has been a tech probably before we had the wheel told me it probably isn't the fue filter bc a clogged filter would give me an okay idle a sluggish acceleration. I really just have no idea what to replace next, maybe fuel pressure regulator?

vacuum leaks? tape a fuel pressure tester gauge to your windshield and take it for a drive and see where your fuel pressure is while driving.

Agreed. A fuel pressure measurement will be important.

It is undriveable. You have to hold the Rs at like 1000 to keep it running. As soon as you let off the gas it dies
