go carb or fix anti theft wiring woes on a 91 tbi 305

Well first let me say Hi everyone I am from Lake Charles La and I am a professional Car technician but mostly only have experiance with 96 and newer stuff or old carb stuff not much experiance with OBD 1 stuff and I just bought a 91 camaro RS with a TBI 305(with the idea of it being a project.) The body is in really good shape and my boss who I bought it from(for a steal even if it don't run) says it runs however the previous owner had possibly messed up the wiring for the anti theft system. I am really good with wiring problems and Have had a few 4th gen fbodies that I have bypassed the resistor keys on by soldering in resistors in the wireing so I am pretty sure I could fix this the guy didn't mess stuff up to bad.

My over all goal with the car is to LS swap but I would like to get it running with this engine until I collect all the pieces for the swap just for the heck of having it run. So should I waste time trying to fix the security stuff or should I rip it all out and just put a carb system until I LS swap or should I not waist my time and just wait and LS swap?

considering you already have bypassed vats before on other cars and are aware its a cheap and relatively easy fix then I would just do it.. beats buying a car and not being able to drive it.
