Where buy LT-1 Starter?

Is there such a thing as a "new" one?
Where do you recommend buying?

Re: Where buy LT-1 Starter?

There are import copies online.
I imagine a dealer or Delco distributor would offer them too.
You just buy for a 93-97 V8 F-body.
The last one I put in someone's car was from a national chain parts store. No problems.

Thank you.
Yes - think I'll go to O'Reilly's.
Chevy Dealer wants $450 or so ... and it is still "remanufactured".

Re: Where buy LT-1 Starter?

I got this from E-bay to cure a "heat soaking" issue on my 383. The stock starter was just to close to the headers. So far I haven't had more problems.

If you already have one you can take it to any alternator shop they can usually rebuild it for peanuts
