So I'm thinking of replacing both the fuel return and fuel feed steel lines that run from the fuel rail to the rubber hoses right below alternator. That would be part #'s 10055874 & 10055875. This is for an '89 5.7 TPI.
I'm trying to read as much as possible here and have, what I think, is the right setup of what I would need, just looking to others before I purchase the following:
(2 sets of these)

(4 or either one of these, or a combination of)
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220687
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220690
and some hose

Does this look right?
Thank you!

Looks like that will do it to me.
When you cut the braided hose, clamp it with a hose clamp and cut right next to the clamp with a die grinder. Keeps it from fraying.

I don't recommend that hose, the liner will break down and start to weep fumes. Eventually it will start to leak fuel.
Need to use either PTFE or Viton lined hose. Example of PTFE hose:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220984/overview/
Note that they take a different hose end, so be sure to get the correct ones.
Example of Viton lined hose:

That hose uses the standard hose ends.
I've used both in replacing CPE lined hoses that were having the mentioned issues. When needing both hose ends and hose the PTFE is a little less expensive. But the Viton hose was easier to work with (already had the hose ends so was less expensive in that case).

Hhhmmm yeah fuel isn't listed for that cheap stuff. Good call. I go by XRP's recommendations when it comes to buying braided AN fuel line, etc.
Here's a stock set. Sure to be cheaper:

Thanks guys will check those out!
2nd what RBob said. I had the same experience. I've now been running Teflon lines from tank to rail for about 6 years now with no issues.
