350zz4 crate motor
Hey guys, I need help with my 1989 camaro iroc that I just purchased. It has a 350 crate zz4 block in it, but I had to take it a part because the head gaskets were blown. So now I have a zz4 block that's all taken a part and don't know whats worth doing with it. I had a mechanic look at the block and he said there's no damage to it and everything looked fine. I wasn't really happy with the horsepower the car had before the head gaskets went. Im debating on selling this motor and buying a new motor, or rebuilding the motor with a new cam, heads and intake setup to push more horse power. By the time I buy all the new parts I could probably buy a new motor for that cost. There's only been like 5,000 miles put on this block but it was sitting for a good 5-10 years. Anyone got suggestions on what I should do?
Here's how the car was setup:
-350zz4 crate
-stock roller cam
-edelbrock heads (60859)
-edelbrock EPS intake
-Holley 670 CFM carburetor
-373 rear end gears
