GTA 88 305 STD just sometimes wont start!
I dont know if you guys already heard about this problem, my gta 88 305 std is original and mint, like once a month or so, it will not start, i mean it just doing nothing, starter wont crank at all, like its dead, like the crank of the battery wont work... lights and dash works, it just shut off when i turn the key, after a half of hour or so, tried again, it starts like a charm! It can do this once or 2 or 3 times a month, anywhere, at mcdonald, anytime, some told me to replace the starter wich i did, still doing that, checked the wires, ground, all perfect, first time that happened, i asked peoples to push me... did everything, bang the doors, hit the steering, the starter, bite the key lol, now when it happens, i just wait an half of hour and i know it will start, kind of a bug or defect relay or...? must be a common problem? the only thing i hate about it, when you have 1 hour of lunch break and you try to start it and youre late for the job, a real bummer
couple of years ago, a mech guy told me that he already know whats my problem, its a relay under the dash that he could just bypass, thats what he said! never saw that guy again after, i wish he could fix it, really...

Does your key have a pellet in it ?
Sounds like a possiable vats issue.
If that's the case the guy was referring to the starter enable relay located under the drivers side kick panel.

Sounds like a bad power connection.
Possibly a loose battery terminal?
Next time it happens try pushing and twisting the batter terminals and see if it works.

Sounds like VATS to me. Most people just bypass it with a resistor.
