Car: 1992 Firebird
Engine: 3.1 6 cylinder
Transmission: 700R4 automatic 4 speed
Car doesnt go into high gear.
I have a 1990 Firebird witha 305 and a 700R4. When i have the car in drive it just wont get up in rpm if i floor it. It kinda just doesnt go above 3k RPM. Anyone know a reason?

Could be any number of things. First idea is not enough fuel.
The 700R4 also will not go into high gear at WOT. You need to lift off the throttle slightly to get into high gear and there's a fix for that.

The car can rev up to high RPM and i can shift it from first second and third running the car hard and it will go high rpm. Its just when im in drive or overdrive. Makes me think its a transmission issue. Anyone?
