Hoses Everywhere! Choke Idle Speed
OK, i got the 86, 305, WS6 going and i'm waiting on tires. it starts right up but idles pretty high around 1,500rpm and i want to bring that down a bit but the electronic choke dial is riveted in-place. what's the best way to change this, drill it out and put in screws? before i do this i have to time it because i replaced the distributor. is this an old fashioned timing light aimed at the harmonic balancer type car?
also: the engine is a nightmare of hoses and wires going every which way. there are two gizmos going into the thermostat housing one of which is the temp gauge sending unit I THINK. the other one is broken and a mystery. it has two electrical prongs.
so what can i take off of this gaggle of worms? no car inspection here in lovely florida BUT i'd like to be able to easily reconnect everything in case i sell it to someone in a state with a communist government that attack cars annually.
