Fuel Issues?

Hi, I have an 88 camaro, It will start up and idle no problem when its cold, but when its idling and at low rpm it sounds funky. After the car has been shut off, we could go eat dinner at a resuraunt come back and the car will start, but to keep it going you have to rev it up really high until you get going, which then its fine. Im thinking its not getting enough fuel, but I have no idea.

Thanks, Ethan

Re: Fuel Issues?

Your EGR valve might be slightly stuck open. You wont notice it at above 1000rpm or so, but at idle and especially when the engine is warm and rpms come down, you will feel it. My truck went thru 2 valves, an old 91 I had went thru 2, and the 92 I have now most likely will as well, although Ill disable it this weekend before its an issue.
