what size wrench

I have camaro Z28 - 1984. I do not want broken nuts on your calipers.
I want to know what is the exact size of the wrench I need?
Thank you !
Happy Holidays!!

Re: what size wrench

If you're talking about the front brake calipers, they're an Allen wrench; 3/8" I think but it's been awhile since I last worked on them. Might be 5/16" but I'm pretty sure they're 3/8".

Front or rear? Disc or drum?

Re: what size wrench

They vary, but it seems like most disc ones are 10mm. 84 is a problem year though; in the early part of the year the brakes had all SAE hardware, in Imperial sizes, but later in the production run they changed to metric. So it's not impossible, although also not likely, that they're 3/8".

Put a socket on them and see.
