Walnut blasting intake and cylinder heard / valve chambers
Anyone ever do this? I just recalled a friend of mine telling me he had this done to his 335i and was happy with the results. Possibly a decent substitute for a head refresh. Especially if you do it your self, just gotta drag the media blaster over to the car

It is NOT a substitute for a refresh. It is done to remove carbon off the intake valves of a direct injection engine.
B12 and Walnut media blasting along with a dental pick worked very well cleaning the gooey, sticky carbon mess off the valves of my direct injected Infiniti M56 a few years ago. Mine were so bad I was getting a P0300 trouble code for random multiple cylinder misfire.
