Have been chasing multiple dash gauge lighting issues. Last problem I solved by soldering a ground wire to the back end of the ribbon.

Latest problem now is the dash lights up when the car is started every time but then the lights go out and come and go intermittently while driving.

Why would they work perfectly on every start up ? It's getting old pulling this cluster out.

Is it all the lights or just a single board?

 

All the ones on that circuit board Odometer and the one above it are fine.
