How hard would it be to swap this motor for my stock. In other words would it be worth the trouble of changing everything over??? I found one for $1500 with 30000 miles on it

 

For that price I would buy it and sit on it until I found a short-bed, single cab truck to put it in.

I think that engine is LS1 based. If that's the case, you would need all new motor mounts and wiring harness and blah blah blah...

Or you could buy it and drop it in and prove me wrong

 

Its not soo bad really we're putting a LS1/4l60e combo into my frineds 88 GTA working the engine moutns in to fit is a pia but it drops in fairly easily, have to get the mounts made up correctly, and thats it pretty much...we are using a aftermarket harness due to some cut factory wiring harness :-( but should be running by next summer :-)

ps think you will run into prob using the truck motor intake/tb setup due to the differecnes though
