Fuel filter location

Hi,

I have a 1986 irocz and the service manual says there is a fuel filter at the carburetor and at the driver side, rear location. Well, I got underneath my car and there is no filter. I can follow the fuel lines and I see nothing. Do these caRs has any variation from the manual instructions? Am missing anything?

thanks in advanced for any help or suggestions.
