Compression ratio and hp estimate

69 350, 4 bolt mains, bored .030. Flat top pistons. Stock iron l98 heads maybe port and polish, screw in rocker studs with upgraded springs. Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock 600 carb. Cam I have laying around is a comp cam 268h. I think high energy, not extreme. Should be .454/.454 110Lsa.

It’s going in an 87 Camaro, basically using parts I have laying around and also whatever is in the car that’s usable. Any ideas on compression ratio and hp? Better cam selection? TIA

Closer to 9.8-10:1 depending how piston to head deck clearance is

i’d guess 350 flywheel hp. But depends greatly on if heads get ported or not. That intake is mild tho, performer rpm would be better

I get 9.61 depending on your valve reliefs. That's a small cam, and relatively low flowing heads without major porting. I'd be surprised to see 300 hp at the crank.

thanks for your reply, I know the intake is pretty mild, just trying to work with what I have for now. Just want something to run pretty decent. I really want to get the heads ported but that also depends on the budget. I already looked at aftermarket for heads but that’s well out of the budget. I think 3-400 is the budget for the heads that I have. All of these parts I already have. Just want to make sure it will workout or if there’s any other recommendations for a cam. Thanks!

Thanks for you’re reply, yea I know the cam is mild and the heads aren’t the greatest but it’s what I got to work with to have something running lol. Just wanted to make sure the combo would actually work out or if there is a better cam. That’s pretty much that’s all in the budget.
