flaring 1/2" stainless pipe?

ok. I think I have my air injection problem solved.. I need to shorten the stock pipes that connect to the headers though.. I believe it's stainless 1/2" pipe.. would a standard flare tool be able to flare this? or do I need something special for stainless? I guess my other option would be to make a whole new pipe out of aluminum.. I would rather keep the stainless though..

never tried to flare stainless but i doubt if it'll flare ,stainless is pretty hard to work. you could give it a try, most you'll do is break you're flare tool or the double flare insert.

Like ede says, I wouldn't use a standard flaring tool. You should use one for SS.
