Can an inline fuel pump be installed with stock pump?

I am using a mallory 3 port regulator and am going to run nitrous, Can I just unplug the intank pump and run an in line holley blue pump???? Or will it inhibit flow?

the way NOS sells their kits they use an inline pump and the stock pump. that way there will be enough volume when using the n2o. you cannot pull through the pump in the tank. it is a positive displacement design. will not let anything through without it turning.
