Did I just get ripped off? 1988 Camaro
So I was here a week ago asking about a distributor for my 1988 Camaro. Well surely enough when the car fired up it still had bad internal engine noise as it had before the distributor install.
So the Tool man offered 3k for my ride with blown engine. (305 tbi)
This is a florida car. No accidents zero rust (I mean none) not a ding in the paint and overall a 8.6 out of 10 in condition. Owned since 1991.
Non z28 non iroc car.
Is $3k a total ripoff for a car of this description?
I was in a desperate situation and didn't want the car to become a lawn ornament. What would a very good condition 1988 305tbi camaro go for in Maui blue with a blown engine? All stock except exhaust. 130k miles on chassis. I mean clean, clean. Just trying to see if I got railed and if so how hard...

You did alright. The cars that are valuable are Z28's, highly optioned T-top cars, Verts, Trans Am's, Formula's, etc. People aren't really that interested in the lower performing, lower optioned cars as collectibles. And with a bad engine..... you did excellent IMO.
