MSD 6AL help

MSD 6AL help
I am getting ready to install a MSD 6AL box and was wanting to put it inside the car. Where are some locations you guys have put yours? I called MSD and they said the unit should be 3ft away from the radio antenna to prevent reception problems. Have you guys found this to be true? I would have to put it in the back seat to get it that far away!

Mine is in the front left of the engine compartment, near the vapour canister. FM reception is unaffected, but the AM band is unusable due to noise.

Thanks. I looked for a spot for about an hour last night trying to decide where to put it. Since I'm not using the A.I.R. system anyway I decided to remove the charcoal canister and put my MSD box there.

I put mine on the drivers side firewall,
I did have it where the Charcoal Canister was, but then I got this cool intake and had to move the MSD 6A
