Smog pipe ????
What kind of rubber hose can be used in place of the metal pipe that runs across the back of the engine? Didn't GM do away with the metal pipe on later TPI cars? Trying to connect the diverter valve to the driver side a.i.r. tubes.
Thanks
Thanks

We used to use a red silicone hose for repairs on that stuff when I worked at midas. Never coming right into a manifold though. Talk to a local exhaust shop and ask them. They'll probably sell you some by the foot

The factory hose in that system was some kind of extreeeeeeeem cheeeeeeepie stuff, even weeeeeeeenier than heater hose. Didn't even have reinforcement like heater hose does.
It doesn't go "right into a manifold" in any case. Goes to a check valve.
Heater hose works fine.

Yup. Plain old heater hose is all you need.
There is a check valve at the connection to the manifold air tubes, so hot exhaust gasses never enter that hose.
