Long story short we thought my trunk pull down motor was faulty as there was power goin to it but the motor no longer pulled the hatch down. So i bought a new motor and installed it. Upon hooking up my battery i noticed smoke coming from the trunk light so i am not sure whats goin on if the bulb is getting bad or if its a wiring problem as even after the motor replacement the hatch motor still isn't working.
