Same car I posted about a few weeks ago. Found a couple vacuum leaks, fixed them. Now it'll idle good cold and warm, aside the occasional cut out. Only issue is, when we drive it. Anywhere in between idle and 2500 rpm, we have to feather the gas in order for it to go. If we hold the pedal down, itll die out (unless to the floor). But, when the secondaries open it'll run perfect, maybe down on power a little.
Changed O2 sensor, sparks/wire/distributor/rotor, oil, put new gas in.
Also, there's a check engine light but when we try to get it to show us the code, nothing happens. Help!

 

ECM probably not getting power-that will cause the lighted CEL with no codes as well as rough running-does the MCS solenoid tick ?.in addition,sounds like there is debris in the carb-but don't bother with that until it is found that the ECM system is in working order.
