Putting a 87 firebird automatic into neutral without a key
I’m buying a parts car on Saturday that doesn’t have keys and I need to be able to have it towed to my house. 87 firebird v6 auto trans. I don’t know if it has vats or not. Can I stick a screw driver in and just force it or no?

Disconnect the cable at the trans and move the lever by hand

or disconnect the cable at the shifter. the one that goes to the steering column
