What timing cover for Double row 24x reluctor from eficonnect?
Picked up a double row timing chain 24x reluctor from Eficonnect. Getting ready for my "LS swap" Wondering what timing cover you used for your swap. Efi's website states that these may rub or interfere with the Oem Vortec timing cover so wondering if someone can shed some light .

Why double row chain? Stock sprockets with something like an IWIS or C5R timing chain is good stuff. It's very rare that anybody does double row with an LS.
Using single row will allow you to use stock front cover (LS2 / LS3 style).

I'm talking about a gen 1 sbc vortec 350 using a dr 24x reluctor from eficonnect and running ls1 ecu with coil near plug and doing away with dis cap and rotor.

Sorry no insight here for the double roller, just running an OEM reluctor with a single row GMPP timing set under a Holley aluminum cover. For visual emissions reasons I went back to a distributor and truck intake on the 383 in my L31 van. OEM style single roller is all 99% of people need. I believe if you want a double roller you need the EFI Connection billet cover. TPIS made one that was near $400 but I no longer see it on their website. $80 Holley cover and the $80 GMPP ZZ4 single roller work great in my ~6,500 rpm 383.

Sorry just looked and Bidenflation has gotten everything. It is still under $200 for the setup though.
I have 0.578 lift and over 350 lbs open spring pressure and my cam timing retards less than 1° at the distributor between 1,200 rpm and 6,200 rpm on the datalog and I feel alot of that is in the actual distributor drive gear to cam gear mesh as the distributor shaft has to have a small amount of end play.

Damn should have just went for the single row reluctor for ease of install. Efi quotes on their website
"This 24 tooth crankshaft reluctor is for use with Gen III LS-Series PCMs and many aftermarket ECUs that support the GM Gen III LS-Series 24x signal. Fits SBC and LT1 engines where a double row timing set. Requires a timing cover with clearance for a double row timing set. Requires crankshaft position sensor EFI# 110-00005. CAUTION: THIS RELUCTOR PROVIDES MAXIMUM CLEARANCE FOR DOUBLE ROW TIMING SETS. THE CRANK SEAL BACKSTOP OF SOME TIMING COVERS (PRODUCTION GM and TPIS) MAY RUB THE FACE OF THE CRANK RELUCTOR. CHECK FOR ADEQUATE CLEARANCE BEFORE FINAL ASSEMBLY. CONSIDER MACHINING THE BACKSTOP FOR ADDITIONAL CLEARANCE. EFI CONNECTION BILLET ALUMINUM TIMING COVERS ARE DESIGNED TO CLEAR THE FACE OF THIS RELUCTOR.
Guess Ill have to figure something out. Those efi timing covers are niceee but pricey. Whoa man that timing is spot on doesn't deviate one bit. That GM timing set is definitely stout and chain doesn't stretch as much as my autozone special timing set haha. Maybe you can try shimming the distributor a tad tighter and see how close to 0 you can get. But with less than half a degree retard your good I'd say. My setup runs great also but I'm not sure if it's the distributor controlling the timing or maybe just my timing map is trash but It's kinda jerky at low speeds so figured going 24x could cure that issue.
