Fuel pump
So I have an 1985 camaro 305 4bl sport coupe I’m 90 percent sure my fuel pumps done but when I look up the fuel pump for this car it just show’s mechanical ones any one know if my year/ model is mechanical or is it in the tank thanks

I would think you have a mechanical pump being that it's a 4 barrel Carb. Look down at the left side front of the engine (facing it). Should be a little round saucer looking thing sticking out of the side right about oil pan height. If there is, that's the mechanical fuel pump. You can trace the fuel line coming off the Carb too.

Your Car should absolutely have a Mechanical Pump...
But it may have also had a small In-Tank Electric Pump (as part of a Vapor-Lock Modification done by Dealerships) installed as well.
Later Model Year Cars (like my 1987 Car) had both Pumps from the Assembly Line.
They way that our Cars are designed, the Mechanical Pump on the Cylinder-Block is in a terrible location (between the Frame-Rail/ Cross-Member and the Exhaust).
But it may have also had a small In-Tank Electric Pump (as part of a Vapor-Lock Modification done by Dealerships) installed as well.
