Not sure where to post this, need feedback on selling
Hey, I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, so hopefully this is the right section to ask questions about it... I love my Camaro, I've had my 92 since I was 17 and am 31 now. My dream was to rebuild it for show as working on it was really fun but I am starting to realize that I won't make enough to make this project a reality and I have been too busy so I think I am going to make the hard decision to sell it. I am not sure what to ask for for this car. It has 200k miles on it but the odo broke at 189k. It has had quite a bit of mechanical work done to it including a transmission rebuild by a very reputable transmission shop locally. It is definitely in rough shape body wise, obviously paint is coming off and rust is setting in with the interior finally starting to come apart from sun baking. I was planning on installing a custom steering wheel so the airbag has been gutted for now. Car runs and functions just fine. Will need a front end kit and parts that are related to the pully system replaced as the bearings are going out but I am just curious at what price range is reasonable to ask for. I had talked a bit with Hagerty a while back and they thought it was worth holding onto as it's becoming quite a popular vehicle or so I was told but rebuilding it just isn't a reality for me financially. Anyways, any feedback/input would be greatly appreciated!

Probably $1,000-$2,000. Why not just keep it and instead of turning it into a show car ($$$) just keep doing basic maintenance, keep it running, and just enjoy it for what it is?

Surprisingly these cars are selling for quite a bit where I live, idk why. You might have a point, I did some calling around and I found that I can get a standard paint job with rust removal/welding done at around 5-6k at most paint shops where I live, it's the show quality jobs that seem to be 15k+. I wouldn't mind just having it fixed up as a fun car. Right now though I am unable to find work, I finished my internship but am still in school and no one here is willing to work with my schedule so even 1k still gets my bills paid for a month.
