LS1 heads or LT1 heads?

I am building up a 350, it is a late 80's block. I was wondering if LS1 or LT1 heads would work on my engine? Also, does any one have any cheap combo suggestions that perform. all i have so far is the block (.030) with brass freeze plugs and cam bearings. Please help.

LS1 heads will not work at all. LT1 heads will with a lot of work b/c of the different cooling styles. AFR heads are pretty popular, but a little pricey. For cheap heads, you can beat vortecs.

any chevy dealership should be able to order them for you, as they are current production pieces.
