Fuel pressure

86 Firebird 2.8.. i turn key on.. fuel pump comes on for 2 sec. as expected.. book says fuel pressure supposed to read 40.5 - 47 psi. Mine only goes up to about 38. Is there some reason it would be a little low? Or do you think my gage is off? I bought the gage at Advance Auto $63. Innova model 3640. .... Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Re: Fuel pressure

Another dumb question on the '86 2.8... Haynes manual says injector resistance should be 11.0 to 14.0 ohms ... mine were all 15.6 ohm. Does anyone know if that's an issue?
thanks
