4th Gen LT1 help (please?)
I am working on a 4th gen lt1 camaro z28. It is a 1994. OBD 1. She was driving it and it "flooded out". She had to open the gas to WOT to restart it then it died again. It only cranks over but if you open the throttle all the way it sounds about 95% from starting. It has bosh plugs in it and we replaced them with ACs. It has new wires and everything. I am thinking Mass air flow sensor or TPS sensor (before all this the car would idle up and down alot at a light). Maybe a bad computer.
We tried to check the codes with the key and all we get is nothing. Not even a code 12.
It has plenty of spark on #1 and lots of fuel to all the plugs.
Is it possible to have a bad rotor/cap and still get a hot spark?
Please help me.
Terry

Could also be a failed temp sensor. Generally, when they screw up, the computer sees -30 degrees C. Consequently, it dumps lots of fuel because it thinks it is so cold out. This will flood the engine in short order.
May also want to look for vacuum leaks.
You can try and disconnect the MAF, and see if it will start that way as well. (this will give you an idea if the maf is the problem)

Most of the time the opti-spark on a lt1 will just go out and not cause a miss. So if you are getting a spark it isn't likely it is the opti-spark. You probably have a temp sensor out as previously stated or the fuel regulator is bad causing the engien to flood.
