Self-Aligning rockers???

What does that mean.

The rocker arms have a groove on the end where they contact the valve stem tip. I believe self-aligning rockers do not need pushrod guide plates.

So are the stock 92 L98 engines self aligning or non self aligning?

I think they made the change to self aligning in 87. It should take the place of guideplates. If you want to use guide plates, I'd use regular rockers.
