Cable route from battery to alt

Cable route from battery to alt
I know this is stupid but is there a specific routing that this cable needs to go from the battery to the alternator on a TPI serpentine belt car? Or just get it over there one way or another?
Does it go behind the compressor or up from underneath through the acc mounting bracket?
