looking at a 1984 Z28

As the title says I'm looking at a 1984 Z28. Guy sent me a pic of the engine bay. I don't see anything bad, but would like a second opinion. I noticed that up by the windshield wipers it is black....is that something from the Z28's or was it spray bombed?
Here's the pic:

Re: looking at a 1984 Z28

The black isn't anything about "Z28". It's a year model thing. IIRC they were all that way until some later year.

The car has been repainted obviously; they might have renewed the cowl paint as well.

The motor is the L69, the good one. Looks intact from all that can be seen. Even the A/C and the air cleaner.

What Sofa said! The air cleaner, the plastic air ducts, and scoops are all intact. Those parts alone would be expensive to buy (trust me) I am hunting for the air ducts now, or something feasible to put in their place.
I even spy the belt for the air pump as well.
The fender brace to the cowl is present (passenger side). That is usually discarded. The compressor has the strut brace to the intake manifold as well. Both of these are usually missing.

Looks like it has original alternator(with deep groove pulley) and original deep groove AC pulley-only non original items evident are radiator cap, battery, possibly plug wires... Very nice.
