Cowl hoods
Cowl hoods
Does anyone know of any place that makes sealed air pans for cowl induction hoods.Or has anyone fabbed up one .The pan would fit over the top of the carb and would insulate it form engine heat also seal around the sides and keep the incoming air cool.I've seen them many times on dragsters.I believe they came on some of the Dodges with air grabber hoods too.

that racer mark stietlieo made one for a 69cam
it used a K&N rectangle filter that was like 11X9 and it sealed against the hood.. but i have yet to be able to find what filter it was.
There was also a web page i found that had a home built one using a round filter but i think I only have it booked marked at work.

I've got one on my car but I have no idea where it came from. The aircleaner base has a round piece of foam that seals against the hood.
