Location of Gear Lubricant filler in Rear End...

Where is the location on the rear end where you add gear lubricant? I haven't been able to take too good of a look, but didn't see it. I have an 87 Formula 350 with a 3.27 posi rear end. I was told it's the borg warner 9 bolt, but once again, haven't been able to take a look, because I am not near the location of my car. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

I have the same rear and was told the same thing from the counterman at NAPA. But go ahead an take a look for yourself, its not there. Its different then the standard 10 bolt rears most of the 3rd gens came with. Just pry out the rubber plug in diff cover to fill. I went ahead an picked up a new one at the dealer for $2 as mine was old and brittle. If that little bastard every popped out on trip - kiss your rear goodbye - pun intended. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I thought i was going crazy when i didn't see it. I figured it was that rubber thing, but didn't want to mess with it until I was sure. Thanks for the help.

I put a little bit of silicone sealant on mine when I stuck it back in so it wouldn't leak or fall out. If the vent isn't plugged it shouldn't blow out. The vent is on top of the axle tube.
