routing canister plumbing
routing canister plumbing
hey guts what would happen if I ran the hose from the charcoal canister straight into the front of the carb. and ripped out the rest of the plumbing and that little box sensor or switch. would my car flood or blow up. what if I kept just that switch in place. any ideas. I need to clean up my engine bay so I can see what I'm doing
Silent,
The EVAP canister also connects to the tank pressure control valve on many models and years. You really need to keep all the plumbing in place to make sure the system works correctly.

You could reposition the lines and hoses in a more orderly manner, clip them togehter with clamps or wire ties, or route several of them togehter in a corrugated tube or braided cover for a more custom look.
You could also move the control valve closer to the canister and off the engine to remove clutter, and run only the purge line to the carburetor and the vacuum line from the TVS to the control valve.
