Mods to do before N2O

I plan on getting a Nitrous Express kit for my car soon when I have plenty on time to do it right(College Student). So what would be some good mods to do to my car before the N2O. Another question I have is that I made a cold air intake from Home Depot stuff, will I be able to use this or will I have to put the stock intake back on. My mods are in my signature. Thanks.

I would think a beefed up spark and fuel delivery system for starters.

If you are really serious, better crank and pistons.

I've read about this but haven't heard it mentioned here before.....cylinder sleeving.

few degrees colder spark plugs, get a digital ignition box so you can retard the timing when using the nitrous, a better fuel pump might be a good idea also.

correct me if im wrong,,,but in order to use nitrous u have to use a
second electric fuel pump for the nitrous...It mixes with the nitrous before being injected..without it , you would go way lean
when the nitrous started to flow

If you are going to go with a concidreable shot 100 or above you might concider replacing your stock with a high volume pump.

The nitrous doesn't get mixed before the nosel the nozzel or the plate. You will have to make a seciond fuel line come off your fuel line (carbed) or hook a line up to the shrader valve on the fuel rail (fuel injected) to plumb fuel to the solenoid. From the fuel solenoid you will run the fuel line to a plate (carbed or fuel injected) or run to a nozzel if you are going to go that route. Both a plate and a nozzel will have a port for N2O and a port for fuel.

Main thing you should do is look arround and choose a kit that is widely excepted and used. You might try posting on the poweradder board and asking more specific questions on kits you might concider. Hope that helps.

what poncho basically said was you do not need a second fuel pump, its just a good idea to get a better one.
