1.6 Roller Rockers.... What kind of gains?
With my income tax I have been wanting to get somthing. I basically narrowed it down to roller rockers I like the Harland Sharp ones. how much should I expect to see can anyone post a comparison if they have changed to 1.6 Roller Rockers?

Changing from the stock garbage to something that has some structural integrity will get you probably 5 or 10 HP depending on how lousy your particular stock rockers are, just from making them all have the same ratio, and taking all the flex and slop out of the system. If the new ones are 1.6s, it might be worth 3 or 4 more HP than 1.5s. The more nearly stock the motor is (i.e. other factors limiting flow) the less difference the increased ratio will make.
Think of things like valve openings, head ports, exhaust pipe, intake runners, etc. as a string of 25' pieces of garden hose. Let's say they're all ½". Now let's assume that you suddenly up and change one of them to 1". How much more water will that string of hose flow than it did before?
Not very much more, right? Changing one component in an already well-matched system is like that. Now if you had a system with some ¾" hose, some 1" hose, and some 1¼" hose, and one piece of ½" hose; and you selectively changed the one piece of ½" to 1"; what then? Obviously you would make a massive difference in the overall flow capacity. When choosing mods, look for the component that is the weakest link, and target your dollars carefully to it.
Horsepower is produced by flow, pure and simple. HP = work per time; work = energy; energy comes from gasoline molecules; those won't burn without air; therefore, HP = air molecules per time, otherwise known as CFM.

I've got the comp camps pro magnum roller rockers. They were pretty pricey, but considering that they are rebuildable, I think that the extra $$$ was well spent. They look really "race-y", and knowing that they are better than aluminum rockers set my mind at peace.
Now, money might be an issue for you, but if all it's gonna take is an extra paycheque to go the extra step, then I'd say wait and buy the pro-magnums.

As always, you get what you pay for. I had Crane Golds but have switched to Comp Pro Magnums.
